Destination. Wedding. Two words that make me want to jump up and down like a kid on Christmas. I mean seriously! I had never attended one until I was asked to photograph my very first wedding last year. I cannot even believe I was lucky enough to shoot another wedding in Mexico this year! (Thank you Paul & Laura!!!) Destination weddings are an amazing adventure for all who attend. Special bonds are formed. It’s like a cool secret club with a cool secret handshake. The memories will last a lifetime. And man, there are some funny ones from this weekend!

These two sweethearts have been together for a long time! Their life story has taken them both in different directions {geographically} over the years, but their love story always remained the same. I guess it’s fitting they chose a long distance destination for their wedding seeing as how they spent much of their time together, apart!

I’m so happy for Paul & Laura and their families and friends who are united because of their marriage. They are such good people who are thoughtful, genuine and definitely know how to have fun!! Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing. Despite the melting heat and humidity, their rooftop ceremony was so special (and gorgeous). Cocktails on the beach, rolling cuban cigars followed by delicious food, an extreme amount of dancing (which is ALWAYS a good thing) and a late night cannonball fest.  I caught myself at one point {standing on a chair and singing loudly} as I was capturing a crowd of good friends singing and dancing to Dixieland Delight and I thought, “It just doesn’t get any better than this.”

Turning ONE sure has it’s perks…like having your cake and eating it too! Little G is near and dear to my heart and being able to capture his very first cake smash was a real treat for me! This cute little country boy showed off his new skills running around in his backyard while melting our hearts with his sweetness.
